British extreme metal pioneers BOLT THROWER have announced the departure of vocalist Dave Ingram. In a statement, the band said, "Dave has been suffering with health and personal problems for a while now and he has decided that it would be best if he left the band to concentrate on his recovery. We would like to thank him for the 6 years he dedicated to the band and we wish him all the very best for the future."
BOLT THROWER were due to go into the studio shortly to record their eighth album, (the follow up to 2001's "Honour, Valour, Pride" — the only BOLT THROWER release featuring Ingram on vocals), but the recording will now be delayed until a replacement is found.

British extreme metal pioneers BOLT THROWER have announced the return of original vocalist Karl Willetts as a full-time member.
Willetts rejoins the group as the replacement for Dave Ingram, who left the band in August due to long-standing "health and personal problems."
Commented Karl: "It's fantastic to be a part of the mighty BOLT THROWER again. It feels great to be back with the guys, I can't wait to get my teeth into the new songs and get back on the road again. I've got some unfinished business to tend to...!"

Et ils ont mis en ligne sur leur nouveau site une version avec le chanteur actuel d'un titre de l'album Honor Valour Pride qui avait été enregistré avec le chanteur de l'époque (parti depuis donc) :

Très bien le titre Entrenched : ça fait un peu retour à l'époque Realm Of Chaos, avec batterie bordelique et solos qui veulent rien dire.
Excellent ces deux morceaux!!
L'album sort dans une semaine!
En marge du nouvel opus, leur vieil album Realm of Chaos va être réédité... sans leur accord et sans leurs droits sur la sortie. Ils appellent à boycotter la réédition de Earache Records.

"They are making money off the back of the new album, 'Those Once Loyal', as they have done previously with the release of 'Who Dares Wins', again released without our consent or permission.
"BOLT THROWER will see no royalties and the money will line the pockets of that lip-licker Digby Pearson [Earache head honcho]. It's a cheap shot, and quite sad to see how low a record company can stoop. Once they were good, now they are nothing. The new cover is not a patch on the original.

Faudra que je me penche sur la question, si ils ont d'autres morceaux comme ça j'irais bien y faire un tour
Les détracteurs de Bolt Thrower vont adorer casser cet album.
Moi je trouve cet album absolument génial, comme tous les albums de Bolt Thrower. Il est encore moins surprenant que le dernier Obi, c'est dire...
J'ai oublié de préciser qu'ils ont encore ressorti le riff d'intro de Cenotaph sur cet album!! Et ça, c'est yeah!!
Remontée de topic pour vous faire partager un communiqué balancé sur leur site hier. Un état d'esprit que je trouve excellent, même s'il va falloir attendre pour se mettre le successeur de Those Once Loyal dans les oreilles :
We've spent the last year trying to write songs for a new album, planning to go into the studio this summer, unfortunately, after a lot of thought, we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone the recording indefinitely. We know everybody says that their new album is better than their last, but with us we really believed that. From day one we made it clear that we'd stop recording when we felt we'd written the ultimate Bolt Thrower album, we just never knew when that would be, we kind of took for granted that each release would get better and better. But we have realised now that our last release, "Those Once Loyal" turned out to be that album, and basically the new stuff we have written just doesn't match up to it. We have a lot of pride in our back catalogue, and we refuse to turn into one of the many bands (like the ones we grew up listening to) who end up releasing crap, and we're also not prepared to compromise by instead releasing an album of cover versions or a 'best of' album. Sorry to disappoint those of you looking forward to hearing new BT songs, but we always said that we would never release anything we weren't happy with or that, in our view, didn't at least match up to our previous work.
J'adore ce groupe depuis longtemps. Mais quand je lis un truc pareil, je suis à deux doigts de tomber amoureux !
ouais enfin faut dire qu'ils faut dire que sur les 5-6 derniers albums y a pas une très grande évolution, pour pas dire que c'est des clônes, un de plus un de moins ... mais dans le fond ils ont raison de pas inonder le marché d'album inutile... ils sont assez établis pour attirer du monde avec leur seul nom.
Those Once Loyal est quand-même un album d'exception. La plus grosse claque depuis The IVth Crusade pour moi. Mais tous leurs albums sont ultimes, j'adhère à leur style à 10000%. Après c'est clair qu'il y a des groupes plus variés !
Pour un truest of thr true warriors of death dans mon genre, je n'ai que deux mots à dire: RESPECT/INTEGRITE (et pas intégrisme, band de petits farceurs!!! )
Si seulement plus de groupes pouvaient agir comme ça!

Je crois que personne ne doutait de l'intégrité et honnêteté de ce groupe, et là encore ils le prouvent. Difficile décision, mais c'est sans doute la meilleure.

chapeau pour leur deux derniers opus : Honour - valour - pride et once those loyal qui sont excellent quoi que je prefere celui avvec Dave ingram au chant
Yep! Moi aussi, mais c'est vrai que je les aime vraiment beaucoup tous. Ils ont vraiment une discographie super compacte et efficace de A à Z. Bon après c'est vrai que question variété on repassera Mais bon... No Guts, no Glory, hein
