Ce qui est dommage, c'est que DT ouvrira probablement pour Soilwork, même si historiquement, ils sont plus importants que Soilwork. À Québec en 2005, les groupes jouaient dans cet ordre: Mnemic (mais ça, on s'en fout

), Hypocrisy, Dark Tranquillity, Soilwork.

La compile ci-dessus est en fait un bootleg, ils avaient mis le logo du label, un faux code barre et un vrai livret, tout pour faire croire à de l'officiel :

Sweden's DARK TRANQUILLITY have issued the following update:

"The compilation album A Closer End, that recently started appearing on the P2P networks as well as on eBay and in certain record stores, is NOT an official Dark Tranquillity album but a bootleg. It's very convincingly made, with a Century media logo, fake barcode and extensive booklet, but it's nevertheless a bootleg. It's usually a better strategy to be silent about these things, but as a lot of people keep mailing us asking whether A Closer End is a genuine album or not, and since the CD has started to appear on online discographies, presented as a legitimate release, we feel the need to set the record straight."

La série des musiciens qui quittent un groupe continue, avec le départ du bassiste Michael Nicklasson:

Commented Michael: "After almost 10 years and tons of tours and festivals, I chose to leave DARK TRANQUILLITY for personal reasons.
"It's been so cool all this time to meet all the people and the tons of fans around the world, and all the friends that I got during this amazing journey — crew, fans and all the people I (we) worked with. I can't name everyone, as the list would take up all the space on the web site, but I'm going to miss all of you that worked and supported us (me) during these years, but this is the right thing to do, I really need a break.

"There are no hard feelings in the band; it's a thing that we all felt was the best for DARK TRANQUILLITY. Now I'm going to kick back for a while, and then I'll see what's in the future for me.

"I wish the best for the rest off the boys in my old crew, and to all: I'm coming back in one way or another... Thanx to all off you!"

Il est remplacé par Daniel Antosson (DIMENSION ZERO, ex-SOILWORK).
Il est pour l'instant juste le bassiste en live.
