"Children Of Bodom's most important and special gig on their recent European tour took place in Stockholm, Sweden, where the main show of the band's upcoming DVD was shot, reports the band's fansite Scythes-Of-Bodom.
The band chose to do the DVD gig in Stockholm mostly for two reasons. Firstly, Arenan has a capacity of 3500 making it one of the biggest venues on this tour. The gig wasn't sold out but they use to hang a curtain to the backside of the venue to make it always seem full. The place indeed was very packed and probably around 2500 COB fans attended the show. Secondly, the film company Revolver is Swedish so it was easy to move all the equipment.
The show was recorded by acclaimed director Patric Ullaeus of the Sweden's Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with Dimmu Borgir and Lacuna Coil, among many others. The group's setlist for the show was as follows:
01. Intro ("Drink It Up" by NWA)
02. Living Dead Beat
03. Sixpounder
04. Silent Night, Bodom Night
05. Hate Me!
06. We're Not Gonna Fall
07. Angels Don't Kill
08. Drum Solo
09. Bodom After Midnight
10. Beach Terror Mix
11. Needled 24/7
12. Alexi/Janne solo battle
13. In Your Face
14. Hate Crew Deathroll
15. Are You Dead Yet?
-----
16. Roope's solo
17. Lake Bodom
18. Everytime I Die
19. Downfall
20. Outro ("Fight For Your Right (To Party)" by The Beastie Boys)
The Swedish film company Revolver had prepared a massive production for this DVD shoot. They had 14 cameras of which 6 were on stage. Some cameramen were even wandering around the audience taking turns shooting the gig and the fans. The band had their normal stage set with the huge COB lights and the car plus also some barrels that had flame pyros inside them. Of course the band couldn't miss the opportunity to grill some deliciouos Swedish sausages on them. The band was in a good mood and played a very solid show that won't let any of fans down! Even Jaska's broken rib didn't stop him from playing a great show.
In other news, Children Of Bodom are planning to shoot the playing parts of the upcoming "Are You Dead Yet?" video in Helsinki very soon. Other parts of the video have already been shot beforehand in the USA.
Alexi ["Wildchild" Laiho, vocals/guitars] will make a guest appearance on the album of the Finnish band Stoner Kings.
Henkka [T. Blacksmith, bass guitar] won't be present at the guitar clinics at the Finnish Metal Expo which will take place in Helsinki on February 17th. So the clinics will be done only by Alexi and Roope [Latvala, guitars]. Jaska [W. Raatikainen, drums] will be present on the stand of SMI music on Saturday, February 18th. "
