mon petit frère m'avait offert strange and beautiful...en raison de l'ignoble pochette à la tête de mort coincée dans un magma de couleurs à gerber.
mais l'album est pas mal loin d'être mauvais mais je ne suis pas leur plus grand fan..le prog en général me fait chier....mais ça se laisse écouter et Midnight chante effectivement assez bien.
cette reformation ne va pas me jeter dans leur bras.

Strange and beautiful est en rupture totale avec les 2 premiers albums.
LE côté progressif est mis de côté sur cet album...Une orientation différente quoi... plus hard rock roots...
Ce n'est pas leur meilleur, loin de là...mais il n'est pas mauvais non plus.
Témoin ce clip .... avec des danseuses sorties de chez Motley..

Midnight vient de se faire virer
Sans doute à cause de ses problèmes d'addictions en tous genres.

J'avais lu des chroniques de leur concert au Rockwave Festival en Grèce, apparemment c'était pathétique, Midnight était défoncé et devait lire les paroles quand il n'en oubliait pas la moitié, il n'avait plus de voix et le reste du groupe tentait de récupérer comme ils pouvaient le boulet. Un "cauchemar" dans tout ce que j'ai pu lire, pas une seule remarque positive!

En clair, maintenant faut pas espérer revoir un jour le vrai et grand Crimson Glory


Midnight serait remplacé par Wade Black qui du coup revient de là où il est parti...
Mouais, je ne suis plus trop intéressé par cette reformation.

Non, Midnight a été arrêté par les flics le 20 Février 2007 pour conduite en état d'ivresse

According to the web site of the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, CRIMSON GLORY frontman John Patrick Jr. "Midnight" McDonald was arrested last Saturday night, January 20 in Sarasota, Florida and charged with "DUI [driving under the influence] with .20 [blood-alcohol level] or higher or having a passenger under 18" years of age. He was also cited for driving with a suspended/cancelled/revoked license. Bond for the 44-year-old vocalist — who gave his occupation as "painter" to the authorities at the time of the arrest — was set at $1,500. He is scheduled to be arraigned on February 8.

Plus sérieusement, j'avais beaucoup apprécié "Transcendance" ("Painted skies".... ), mais nettement moins la suite.

Donc, je crois que je vais lâcher l'affaire....Quel gâchis, quand même !

A moins que les Def' lancent une souscription pour payer sa caution ?

D'ailleurs Blabbermouth ont encore touché le fond, sur le principe de "l'audience à tout prix".
On n'avait pas forcément besoin de connaître tous les détails de son arrestation et de sa personne, même ceux qui font des erreurs ont droit à un minimum de préservation de leur vie privée. Bonjour le big brother...


En tout cas pour moi Crimson Glory c'est fini, Wade Black il va encore faire un album et se barrer, comme dans tous les groupes dans lesquels il passe, et Crimson sans Midnight c'est 50% de la magie en moins.

En tous cas, je vois que les prisons américaines sont plutôt bien équipées...Midnight tente de vendre quelques trucs à lui sur le Net depuis sa cellule pour payer sa caution....

j'ai chopé Astronomica parce que j'aimais bien un morceau sur une compile et que j'ai entendu par la suite les 2 premiers morceaux de l'album qui déchirent, surtout war of the worlds ça fait au moins 3 morceaux pas prog du tout mais ensuite ça devient mou pour le reste de l'album sans être mauvais non plus. J'ose pas trop me pencher sur les autres albums, j'aurais bien aimé plein de titres rentre dedans à la war of the worlds mais bon j'imagine que c'était une exception

Metal Command: Can you give us an update on CRIMSON GLORY? What's the latest news for the band? Do you have songs for a new album as it's rumoured?

Jeff Lords: "We are on hiatus due to several contributing factors. The highest on the list of those factors is that the label that we were most recently doing business with — and thus, would back us, financially — went defunct. This was not long after we worked out the deal with them. Second on the list is probably the fact that our attempt at resurrecting the original lineup didn't come to fruition, and this was simply because a few of the older issues resurfaced ... the same issues that ultimately became an 'anchor' for the band in the past. Considering that and in conjunction with the former reason I think the momentum was simply lost. As far as for new songs, well, I think we individually all have some ideas floating around. However, we haven't actually woven any of them together, as of yet."

Metal Command: On Wikipedia website there is a title for the new CRIMSON GLORY album. According to the site it's going to be titled "Metatron, Lucifer and the Divine Chaos". Is this accurate?

Jeff Lords: "Yes and no! Yes, the original plan was to do the new album with said title. It was a semi-conceptual idea that Jon [Drenning, guitar] had been kicking around. No, in that I cannot say with absolute certainty what the proposed new album will be titled, or for that matter, if there will even be a new album. In the music business, everything is subject to change on a second's notice."
