Merde j'ai pas trouvé de vidéo, mais c'est franchement pas mal. Instrumental la plupart du temps, plein de claviers et tout.

Wood of Ypres a été mentionné est dans le classement. Quant à Unexpet, je les ai vus deux fois en live (Sodom en 2006 et Heavy Mtl en 2008) et c'est le genre de groupe que je déteste (pas juste que je n'aime pas).

si original c'est empiler tout se qui est "branché" dans le milieu metal d'aujourd'hui pour en faire un mille feuilles indigeste et bourratif ,oui c'est original ....

En passant, évitez de fredonner le thème de Batman des années 60 repris par Voivod, Kingounet ne rigole pas avec Dimension Hatross.

#3) VOIVOD – Dimension Hatröss (BMG - 1988)

Dimension Hatröss is viewed within the sprawling, twisting VOIVOD catalogue as the apex of the first phase, the vortex into which all of Away's (Michel Langevin; drums) intriguing sci-fi ideas swirl and shine and shimmer. Truly the Quebecers were one of a kind in the late '80s with an envious vision, breathtakingly powerful on 'Psychic Vacuum' and of course the top of the heap, 'Tribal Convictions' which may be the finest metal outro in extreme metal history from these vast lands. The cover art is also one of Away's arcane best, and speaking of arcane, Piggy (Denis D'Amour; guitars) is really flying his freak flag here, firing off obscure chords and melodies relentlessly, making Dimension Hatröss both near impermeable and certainly intellectually substantial. Noise did their best to spread the word of the band at this particular juncture and the underground were enthralled. But even to this day, Voivod have been laying out brilliant hands with only mediocre payback from the dealer.

Les 2 premiers et le classement final

#1) RUSH – Moving Pictures (Mercury - 1981)

Yeah we know, a little anti-climactic. Really, what other album in the history of time could be #1? Moving Pictures brought to gleaming fruition RUSH’s new and enthusiastic concern for housing their prog ideas within logical, sensible songs with strong frames. ‘The Spirit Of Radio’ is often cited as the first successful execution of this, and then… man, the boys go from strength to strength, firing off ‘Limelight’, ‘Red Barchetta’ and most notably ‘Tom Sawyer’, Rush’s most celebrated anthem and a badge of honour for air drummers the world over. There’s also world famous instrumental ‘YYZ’ and a whole second side of prog metal mania (including the breathtaking 'The Camera Eye') that can be visited time and time again for fresh revelations. Perhaps what is greatest testimony to the record, none of the scribes had any doubt Moving Pictures would win this poll - it was a foregone conclusion from the start.

#2) ANVIL - Metal On Metal (Attic - 1982)

ANVIL’s Hard ‘N’ Heavy debut really didn’t demonstrate where Anvil (at that point called LIPS) were going with this new and more deliberate heavy metal that was coming out of the NWOBHM into the minds and hearts of Canada’s most eager consumers of it. And then ka-pow, the boys deliver Metal On Metal and it’s a masterpiece of something not even invented yet, namely thrash, at this point, mebbee ya call it “speed metal.” In any event, ‘March Of The Crabs’ became the benchmark of nascent thrash instrumentals while tracks such as ‘Mothra’ and ‘666’ presented a band full-up with power from all members of the team, not least of which was Keith Moon-on-crack drummer Robb Reiner, the secret weapon welling up from the depths. The band even got a few spins at radio with 'Stop Me' featuring guitarist Dave Allison on vocals. The title song 'Metal On Metal' is Canada's true hard n' heavy anthem and the song was featured on the November 14th, 2010 episode of The Simpsons titled Lisa Simpson, This Isn't Your Life. You know you've made it when… Rumor has it that the members of METALLICA were front n' centre when the band played in California during the era.

Faudrait que je me penche sur la période Sylvain Houde...parce que la période récente, c'est creux de chez creux. Donc, j'approuve les bienfaits de leur absence du classement.

^ Non non, mais quand tu vois le monde de fou qu'il y a aux concerts de Kataklysm en fest, on aurait pu s'attendre à ce qu'ils soient dans ce top 30. Ce qui, je pense, n'aurait pas été mérité... mais ce n'est que mon avis, et je le partage.

Je croyais que ça faisait parti des groupes de Death Metal dont tu aimes les 4 premiers albums et qui ensuite t'ont brisé le cœur.
