A noter que cet album (quasi tous les instruments ont été joués par Jon Oliva) est composé de chansons dont la très grande majorité des riffs / mélodies avaient été écrits par son frère Chris Oliva et qui figuraient sur des vieilles k7 de Chris que Jon avait gardé. Il s'en est servi de base pour cet album.
La tournée solo de Jon Oliva a commencée aux USA... Pas mal de Savatage dont une bonne partie pas joué depuis très longtemps!

Etrange cet album solo. Apres plusieurs ecoutes je ne sais trop quoi en penser globalement. Ca sonne souvent 70s, parfois des relents du Tage periode 90-93, parfois instrumental psyché...
Quand on lit son petit speech en debut de booklet, on comprend mieux. Il a regroupé toutes les dernieres compos et bribes de compos co ecrites avec son frere, et certaines datant de leurs tous debuts (Avatar), ca sonne parfois un peu décousu, un peu foutraque, mais c'est jamais mauvais loin de là. C'est juste inhabituel par rapport a ce qu'il fait en solo, notamment.

Je viens seulement de découvrir cet album.
J'ai adoré la diversité de cet album qui change de Jon Oliva's Pain (que je préfère à Savatage....je ne vais pas me faire des amis là!) et comprend parfaitement qu'il ait décidé d'en faire un album solo et non un album de JOP. j'espère juste qu'il puisse continuer à avoir la santé pour continuer de nous pondre des albums aussi bons!
